About Us

My name is Anthony. We were drawn to the quietness and tranquility of the wooded surroundings and the sparkling lake waters. The lake is shaped like a rooster, therefore the name Minnicock Lake. It is fed by fresh spring water with a natural shoreline. As agreed and established by the Minnicock Lake Association’s Charter, there will be minimal motorized watercraft activity and noise by agreeing to use motors no larger than six horsepower, and the encouragement of electric or four-stroke (low emission) motors, canoes, sailboats, paddle and rowboats. The end result is a quiet, clean and safe lake, habituated with nesting loons with their young ones. It is ideal for canoeists and kayakers. In order to maintain the quietness of the lake and the scenic natural environment, we strictly restrict guests from bringing any gas powered motor watercraft.

Swimming is a pleasure as is fishing for small mouth bass. On a clear night, with most lights turned off, it is magical with an awesome feeling to gaze up the night sky and see billions and streams of sparkling stars, even shooting stars. We have an amazing Creator!

Wood working and carpentry is my hobbies and passion. We feel blessed that as a family with two children, we are able to work together in building and improving the interior of the cottage. We really cherish the time we spend here as a family. In the midst of our busy schedules, we found this place to be an emotional and spiritual refuge and restoration for us. We love to come during winter to experience the crisp air and fresh white snow, when our children were younger, they could spend hours tobogganing on the steep driveway. It is always a treat when we cuddle together in front of the traditional wood fire place for family bonding and activities.

We would like to share and invite you to spend time at our cottage. Our cottage is named “Heavenly Treasure” referring to the Bible verse in Matthew 6:19-21 where Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” As we journey through life at a hectic and rapid pace, our hope and prayer is that as you rest and enjoy the quiet and scenic natural surroundings, that you will be inspired and reminded that you are special and treasured by God. God’s greatest gift to all mankind is Jesus Christ. It is through our faith in Him, by the grace of God alone, that we inherit eternal life. We could have the most blessed and peaceful life when we live to serve God and each other, therefore storing up treasures in Heaven.
